In memory of the beautiful 747 - 400,  I am organizing a 1 hop flight …

Event Times:  10AM ===> approx... 4PM

Due to the length of this event, it would be an excellent opportunity for our Senior members to assist our new members with questions on club items, ILS navigation, etc.  We welcome even the newest members to join us!  And, of course we need our experienced members to participate.

Also, the first hop is shorter so you can get at least (1) hop in if you can not stay for the entire flight...

Imagine, if we can get 15-30 of us flying these many different and colorful 747 variations, what a site that would be !
TAKE PICS and post to our Screenshot gallery

UPDATE: United's farewell flight for the Boeing 747 sells out in less than 2 hours
Original post
United Airlines will make its last-ever Boeing 747 passenger flight on Nov. 7 2017
The carrier has added a special “farewell” flight from San Francisco to Honolulu that will serve as its final passenger operation on the beloved jetliner.
There will be a “throwback” theme for the flight, with United’s crews donning 1970s-era “retro” uniforms and serving “1970s-inspired” menu options. In-flight entertainment options also will hail from the 1970s. It’s all part of an effort by the airline to recreate the atmosphere passengers would have been experienced on United’s first-ever 747 flight in 1970, which also flew from San Francisco to Honolulu.
That retro vibe, United says, “will help send the Queen of the Skies off in true style.”
As of Sept. 18,     13    374-seat Boeing 747s were still flying for United.

I (Bob Higgins) actually lived in Stuttgart and Heidleberg with my parent from 3 1/2 to 5 years old.  My Dad was "service to military" American Red Cross.

After reviewing the great video and link above (thanks Pizza ! ), if you have time now or during the flight, check out the many historical sites in Germany here...
